Definition
A go-to-market strategy is the plan for who you sell to first, what you sell them, which channel carries the message, and who does the selling. It is not a list of every channel you might try. A GTM you can run beats a GTM you can only present.

How the word shows up in a real conversation.
Customer: Pune CA firms. Offer: GST reconciliation at ₹1,499 / month. Channel: partner workshops, not Instagram. Motion: founder-led sales for 90 days, then one AE. That is a GTM. “We will do content and ads” is not.
Common mistake
Listing ten channels and calling it a strategy. If you cannot name the first 20 customers and the path to them, you do not have a GTM.
